Sierra Leone’s Chief Justice, Honourable Justice Komba Kamanda, a Bo School Boy, at the prestigious Bo School compound in Bo City chaired the Speech Day and Prize-Giving ceremony in celebration of the 119th Anniversary of The Bo School and the 95th Anniversary of the Old Bo Boys Association (OBBA).
His Lordship Honourable Justice Komba Kamanda is Sierra Leone’s youngest Chief Justice and the second Bo School Boy to become Chief Justice.
The Keynote Speaker was Chinese Ambassador, His Excellency Wang Quing. In attendance were plethora of dignitaries, including His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio, the first Bo School Boy to become President of Sierra Leone.
The Bo Government Secondary School, commonly known as Bo School, was founded in 1906 at the behest of the British colonial Governor, Leslie Probyn, to educate the sons of Paramount Chiefs or nominees of Paramount Chiefs. The school later evolved to become a public school that is open to boys from all backgrounds.
